About this event
Three hours in a Little Havana kitchen covering the dishes every Cuban cook starts with: sofrito, ropa vieja, maduros and a pressed Cubano built with the right bread and ratios. The class finishes at the table with espresso, and you leave with the written recipes and a batch of sofrito for home.
What you'll do
- Make sofrito from scratch the way abuelas do
- Braise ropa vieja until it shreds with a fork
- Fry sweet plantains for maduros
- Build and press a proper Cubano
- Pull espresso and talk café culture in Miami
